Statement

The data originate from official administrative sources related to decisions on heritage designation, listing, or recognition, as well as from reference inventories maintained by the regional administration. The dataset brings together heritage-related cartographic layers, representing in particular: properties or built ensembles with recognized heritage value; protection or management perimeters associated with these properties; and geographic objects derived from regulatory decisions, heritage inventories, and reference documents validated by the competent authority. The information is compiled from administrative acts and technical and heritage files, and then translated into structured geographic entities within the geographic information systems of Urban.brussels. Updates are carried out in line with regulatory developments, new designation decisions, or revisions of the inventories.
