Study on understanding and improving the performance of Brussels in sorting waste and end-of-life objects from from the consumption of Brussels households. The Citizen Waste Action-Research conducted since the end of 2019 by a project-team composed of COMASE and CEESE (Centre d'Etudes Economiques et Sociales de l'Environnement ULB) and aims, by involving the main stakeholders of the household waste policy:

- To understand the performance of selective collection of waste from Brussels households;

- To identify the performance variables on which to act;

- Identify the margins for improvement;

- Make recommendations for action to improve performance;

- Support the implementation of the recommendations for action.

This report presents the state of progress of the Citizen Waste Research-Action's achievements and results, until the end of 2021.

Cette étude porte sur la compréhension et l’amélioration de la performance bruxelloise de tri des déchets et des objets en fin de vie provenant de la consommation des ménages bruxellois. La Recherche-Action Citizen Waste menée depuis fin 2019 par une équipe-projet composée de la société COMASE et du CEESE (Centre d’Etudes Economiques et Sociales de l’Environnement ULB) et a pour objectif, en impliquant les principales parties prenantes de la politique des déchets ménagers :

- De comprendre la performance de collecte sélective des déchets issus des ménages bruxellois ;

- D’identifier les variables de performance sur lesquelles agir ;

- D’identifier les marges d’amélioration ;

- D’émettre des recommandations d’action pour augmenter la performance ;

- D’accompagner la mise en œuvre des recommandations d’action.

Ce rapport présente l’état d’avancement des réalisations et résultats de la Recherche-Action Citizen Waste, jusqu’à la fin de l’année 2021.

Studie over inzicht in en verbetering van de prestaties van Brussel bij het sorteren van afval en afgedankte voorwerpen uit van de consumptie van Brusselse huishoudens. Het Citizen Waste Action-Research wordt sinds eind 2019 uitgevoerd door een project-team bestaande uit COMASE en CEESE (Centre d'Etudes Economiques et Sociales de l'Environnement ULB) en heeft tot doel, door de belangrijkste stakeholders van het huishoudelijk afvalbeleid erbij te betrekken:

- Inzicht krijgen in de prestaties van de selectieve inzameling van afval van Brusselse huishoudens;

- De prestatievariabelen vaststellen waarop moet worden ingegrepen;

- Identificeer de marges voor verbetering;

- Aanbevelingen doen voor maatregelen om de prestaties te verbeteren;

- De uitvoering van de aanbevelingen voor actie ondersteunen.

In dit verslag wordt de stand van zaken opgemaakt van de verwezenlijkingen en resultaten van het Citizen Waste Action Research tot eind 2021.
