The dataset results from the selection, harmonisation and processing of municipalities belonging to an urban region according to this methodology, with integration of the 2025 municipal boundaries. Les régions urbaines sont définies comme l’association du pôle urbain majeur (agglomération morphologique) et de la banlieue (périphérie fonctionnelle). À chaque région urbaine est associée une zone résidentielle des migrants alternants. Le jeu de données résulte d’un traitement de sélection, d’harmonisation et de mise en forme des communes appartenant à une région urbaine selon cette méthodologie, avec intégration des limites communales 2025. De afbakening van stedelijke regio’s is gebaseerd op een statistische methode toegepast op gegevens uit de Census 2021 en op de gemeentelijke indeling die geldt op 1 januari 2025. Stadsgewesten worden gedefinieerd als de combinatie van de grote stedelijke pool (morfologische agglomeratie) en de banlieue (functionele periferie). Aan elke stedelijke regio is een forensenwoonzone gekoppeld. De dataset is het resultaat van selectie-, harmonisatie- en verwerkingsstappen van gemeenten die volgens deze methodologie tot een stedelijke regio behoren, met integratie van de gemeentelijke grenzen van 2025.
