Il couvre les données archéologiques et historiques de la Préhistoire au XVIIIe siècle pour l’ensemble de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, en intégrant des informations issues de fouilles, de découvertes fortuites ainsi que de sources historiques et cartographiques. Deze dataset is opgesteld op basis van de regionale archeologische atlas, gepubliceerd in vierentwintig delen tussen 1992 en 2012 onder de titel Atlas van de archeologische ondergrond van het Brussels Gewest, en geproduceerd en bijgewerkt door de Directie Cultureel Erfgoed van urban.brussels. Het omvat archeologische en historische gegevens van de prehistorie tot de 18e eeuw voor het volledige Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest, waarbij informatie uit opgravingen, toevallige vondsten en historische en cartografische bronnen wordt geïntegreerd.
